Food medicine is regarded as one of the oldest forms of medicine using therapeutic properties of plants to heal and rebalance.
Each plant has its own energetic properties whether that is moistening, drying, warming, cooling, tonifying or sedating. So if you were suffering from hot flushes for example we want to use herbs together in a formula that has a cooling and tonifying quality.
During our consultation we will discuss your health in detail, your symptoms and work together to find exactly what is the perfect formula for you. Every woman is different and will experience symptoms in different ways so we will make sure it is right for you. I will also spend time explaining each ingredient in the formula and how they work together.
Often Chinese Herbal formulas can have very intimidating names such as “Geng Nian An” or the ingredients are typically in Chinese or Latin. However, once explained you will see that often formulas include everyday ingredients such as Cinnamon or Liquorice.
The Chinese Herbs I use are grown using the authentic DaoDi concept (non-sulphur treated) to retain the highest quality ingredient.
They are sourced from Phoenix Medical, based in the UK, who work closely with the British Pharmacopoeia Working Group, Kew Royal Botanic Gardens, the University of Southampton, and as a supplier to NHS approved clinical trials.

Patients often comment there is no difference to taking them than a multi-vitamin in the morning.
